Responsible for all endoscopic equipment used during perioperative procedures. Performs all functions of the Perioperative Assistant.
Job Responsibility
1.Responsible for all endoscopic equipment and trays used during perioperative procedures.
•Maintains current knowledge of equipment operation and surgical terminology as need for the functions of their job below Sets up specialty equipment required for endoscopic procedure including but not limited to verifying the operative site, and ensuring equipment is clean and functioning.
•Escalates any malfunction, missing items or breach in sterility immediately to the appropriate party (e.g., RN or Supervisor)
•Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues with equipment before during and after procedures, as required.
•Receives, identifies, stages and/or stores instrument trays based on procedure cards and uses appropriate aseptic technique.
•Follows appropriate technique for handling of specialty instruments and scopes. Disassembles, cleans, sanitizes and reassembles equipment according to established guidelines and returns to correct tray as needed
•Collaborates with vendor support services regarding software updates, downloads, and to resolve equipment issues. Arranges for loaner equipment, as required.
•Performs testing of and maintains records of all equipment-related activities before each case and after procedures are done for the day.
•Review OR schedule, type and post next day’s endoscopic schedule.
•Generates Synergy service reports and instrument repair procedures as needed.
2.Performs all functions of the Perioperative Assistant as per the existing job description
3.Adheres to safety and infection control policies. Demonstrates knowledge and skills in waste disposal and standard precautions.
4.Utilizes Personal Protective Equipment as designated by established department policies and procedures.
5.Performs related duties as required.

Job Qualification
High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
Minimum of one year experience as Perioperative Assistant required.
Successful completion of training program, within probationary period, required.
Working knowledge of basic computer applications, including basic hardware, required.

The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.When determining a team member’s base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity).
The salary range for this position is $24.42-$25.72/hour
