Welcoming Veterans and Military Service Members to apply for Northwell Health’s Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program
Northwell Health is proud to offer a paid comprehensive training program, in partnership with our Military Liaison Services team, to support veterans and military service members who are looking for a career as an administrative support assistant. This three-to-four-week, on-the-job, paid training program will prepare eligible veterans and military service members.
Northwell Health is providing a full scholarship to all veterans and military service members who participate in the Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program. Please submit your resume in advance.
Northwell Health’s Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program overview:
Northwell Health is honored to support veterans and military service members throughout our communities by providing them with an opportunity to jumpstart a career as an administrative support assistant.
Program details:
- This on-the-job, paid training program begins on Monday, March 2, for administrative support assistants and takes place in-person for three-to-four (3-4) weeks.
- Upon successful completion of the Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program, each participant has an opportunity to be promoted to a full-time Northwell employee, working as an administrative support assistant. Participants will commit to working for Northwell as an administrative support assistant for at least one (1) year.
- Northwell will pay you a salary range of $20-$24 an hour, plus comprehensive Northwell benefits.

Eligibility requirements and program commitments*:
Our training program is for veterans and military service members who:
- Have earned a state-endorsed high school diploma or HSE/TASC (formerly GED certificate).
- Pass a background check.
- Provide an employment commitment to work as an administrative support assistant at Northwell for at least one (1) year, following successful completion of the program.
*Applicants must meet the criteria above to be eligible for Northwell Health’s Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program for veterans and military service members.

Each applicant can use the below steps as a guide throughout the training program application process.
- STEP 1: Submit your resume to apply via the link above for the Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program by Thursday, January 8, 2026.
- STEP 2: Qualified candidates will be contacted by a member of the Northwell Health team.
- STEP 3: Final candidates will be invited to an in-person interview at a designated date and time.
- STEP 4: Candidates will be notified of acceptance the week of January 23, 2026.
