Northwell Health is proud to offer a paid comprehensive training program, in partnership with our Military Liaison Services team, to support veterans, military service members and military spouses who are looking for a career as an administrative support assistant. This three-to-four-week, on-the-job, paid training program will prepare eligible veterans, military service members and military spouses.
Northwell is providing a full scholarship to all veterans, military service members and military spouses who participate in the Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program. Please submit your resume in advance.

Northwell Health is honored to support veterans, military service members and military spouses throughout our communities by providing them with an opportunity to jumpstart a career as an administrative support assistant.
Program details:
- This on-the-job, paid training program begins on Monday, September 28, for administrative support assistants and takes place in-person for three-to-four (3-4) weeks.
- Upon successful completion of the Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program, each participant has an opportunity to be promoted to a full-time Northwell employee, working as an administrative support assistant at a Northwell location in Manhattan. Participants will commit to working for Northwell as an administrative support assistant for at least one (1) year.
- Northwell will pay you a salary range of $20.00 – $24.00 an hour, plus comprehensive Northwell benefits.

Eligibility requirements and program commitments*:
Our training program is for veterans, military service members and military spouses who:
- Have earned a state-endorsed high school diploma or HSE/TASC (formerly GED certificate).
- Pass a background check.
- Provide an employment commitment to work as an administrative support assistant at Northwell for at least one (1) year, following successful completion of the program.
*Applicants must meet the criteria above to be eligible for Northwell Health’s Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program for veterans, military service members and military spouses.
What to expect during the Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program application process:
Each applicant can use the below steps as a guide throughout the training program application process.
- STEP 1: Submit your resume to apply for the Administrative Support Assistant Train and Earn Program by Tuesday, August 4.
- STEP 2: Qualified candidates will be contacted by a member of the Northwell Health team.
- STEP 3: Final candidates will be invited to an in-person interview at a designated date and time.
- STEP 4: Candidates will be notified of acceptance the week of August 17.
