Northwell Health’s Lenox Hill Hospital, an award-winning hospital located on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, is proud to offer a paid comprehensive training program, in partnership with our Military Liaison Services team, to support veterans and military service members who are looking to advance their career as a telemetry technician or nurse attendant. This six-to-eight-week, on-the-job, paid training program will prepare eligible veterans and military service members.

Train & Earn Telemetry Technician and Nurse Attendant Program overview:
Northwell Health is honored to support veterans and military service members throughout our communities by providing them with an opportunity to jump-start a career as a telemetry technician or nurse attendant.
Program details:
- This on-the-job, paid training program begins on December 1 for telemetry technicians and nursing attendants and takes place in-person for six-to-eight (6-8) weeks. During this time, as a telemetry technician, you will earn $36.01 per hour, and as a nurse attendant, you will earn $24.60 per hour for the training period.
- The training format of the course includes both didactic and experiential learning as a telemetry technician or nurse attendant.
- Upon successful completion of the Train & Earn Telemetry Technician and Nurse Attendant Program, each participant has an opportunity to be promoted to a part-time Northwell employee, working as a telemetry technician or nurse attendant. Participants will commit to working for Northwell as a telemetry technician or nurse attendant for at least one (1) year.

Eligibility requirements and program commitments*:
Our training program is for veterans and military service members who:
- Have earned a state-endorsed high school diploma or HSE/TASC (formerly GED certificate).
- Pass a background check.
- If training as a telemetry technician, take and pass an in-person qualifying course.
- Provide an employment commitment to work as a telemetry technician or nurse attendant at Northwell for at least one (1) year, following successful completion of the program.
*Applicants must meet the criteria above to be eligible for the Train & Earn Telemetry Technician and Nurse Attendant Program for veterans and military service members.
