Welcome to HR Preboarding at Northwell Health! We are so excited to be part of your journey at Northwell as you prepare for your practice’s transition. The below information summarizes our preboarding requirements for you to be cleared to start at Northwell Health. Please review in its entirety as the requirements are broken down step by step.
Getting Started
- Review and accept your offer letter: You will receive an offer letter to your personal email that you will review and electronically accept. The offer letter will be sent from “no-reply.myexperience@northwell.edu”. The offer letter will provide key details including your position title and pay information.
- Complete RMI (Request for More Information): Once you accept your offer letter electronically, you will receive an email titled, “Additional Information Required” from “no-reply.myexperience@northwell.edu,” to kick off your preboarding process in our MyExperience team member platform. This needs to be completed in order for you to obtain a universal ID and password and move into the next phase of preboarding.
- Beginning your Team Member Health Services clearance (remember to bring your medical requirements): You will complete lab work at a LabCorp location as part of your medical clearance. You will bring the LabCorp forms that were provided by the TMHS team.
- Connect with a preboarding specialist: Shortly after you receive the RMI email, a preboarding team member will contact you to assist you through the preboarding process and schedule your pre-hire appointments. They will be your main point of contact throughout the entire preboarding process.
Complete Preboarding Requirements
- Receiving your log-in information: Shortly after you complete the RMI information, you will receive an email titled, “Important: Log-In Information” from Northwell Health Account Provisioning. This email will include your Universal ID. You can create a password for your Universal ID with this link: https://mypasswordhelp.northwell.edu
- Complete preboarding tasks & compliance training modules in MyExperience: To log into MyExperience you will use the link provided: www.northwell.edu/myexperience
- Once logged in, you will access the Preboarding tasks by: Click on “Me”> Journeys> Complete Pending Tasks
- To access the Compliance Training Learning Modules: Click on “Me”> Learning > Required Learning> Compliance Training: New Team Member Onboarding Training (there are a total of 9 learning modules)
- Background check: You will receive an email from our third-party background check vendor, Sterling: no-reply@us.sterlingcheck.app, to complete necessary information to launch your background check.
- I-9 completion: Complete Section 1 of your I-9 form via the email sent to you by Guardian Perfect Compliance: donotreply@lawlogix.com
Attending Pre-Hire Appointments
- Attend pre-hire appointments: You will attend pre-hire appointments at a Northwell location that is scheduled by a preboarding specialist.
- EHS appointment: Medical screening with Team Member Health Services.
- New hire HR processing appointment: You will submit I-9 documentation to HR. Please click here and review the required documentation. You will need to provide one document from List A OR one document from List B AND one document from List C.
- Security appointment: You will complete fingerprints and take a photo for your Northwell ID badge. Dress code: Please dress in professional attire.
Preboarding Complete!
- Cleared to start: Once all pre-hire requirements are complete you will receive an email from the Preboarding team. The email will state that you are cleared to start as a Northwell employee and we welcome you to the Northwell team!

When am I paid?
- Hourly/Overtime Eligible Employees: You are on a bi-weekly pay cycle, either ‘BW CYCLE 1,” or “BW CYCLE 2”. Your leader will be able to advise you of which pay cycle you are on.
- Management and Exempt Employees: You are on a semi-monthly pay cycle. You are paid semi-monthly on the 7th and 22nd each month.

You can update your W4 directly in myExperience.
Benefits
How do I enroll in benefits and when do they take effect?
Your benefits are effective as of your hire date once you enroll in myExperience. You will have 30 days to enroll, with benefits effective retroactive to day one.

When do I start accruing PTO?
Your PTO accruals will begin immediately and accrue time each pay period. For specifics on accrual rates, please reach out to the HR Support Center upon the start of your employment: 516-734-7000.
