Join us with your family members as we prepare for prom and graduation season! Northwell Off the Rack is an eco-friendly, pop-up thrift shop exclusively for team members and their families, giving pre-loved clothing a second chance.
Three ways to get involved
1. April 6 – April 17: Donate
Look for drop boxes at designated Northwell locations across Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. We are collecting gently used or ‘like new’ attire, shoes and accessories for junior proms, senior proms, and graduations for high school and college—all sizes welcomed. Specifically, we are looking for formalwear, gowns, occasion dresses, suits, tuxedos, shoes, handbags, ties, jewelry and more.
2. May 4 – May 9: Volunteer
Northwell team members can volunteer at the shop in New Hyde Park by selecting an available timeslot below. You must have your manager’s approval in advance. You will be notified by HR via email to confirm participation with details.

Thank you! With your support, we collected more than 35,631 pounds of donations for clothing, shoes and accessories, welcomed more than 6,855 shoppers, had more than 1,256 Northwell volunteers participate, donated more than 543 pounds of food and donated 962 pounds of items to The Salvation Army.
