Leadership Development and Training
We offer our physicians numerous opportunities for growth in partnership with the accredited Center for Learning and Innovation. Our Career Advancement Learning Leadership and Strategy Program (CALLS) is a program specifically for women to develop career-building skills such as effective communication, conflict management and financial acumen. The High Potential Development Program identifies, develops and promotes talent to establish the next generation of health system leadership.
Research
We conduct our research at The Feinstein Institutes for Medical Research and Cold Spring Harbor Labs (CSHL). The Feinstein Institutes are composed of more than 1,500 clinicians, scientists and staff who work in laboratories and clinical research programs in collaboration with clinicians and patients throughout our facilities, and through our strategic alliance with CSHL researchers have used a focused, multi-disciplinary approach to break new ground and develop innovative, advanced technologies.
Education
The education of residents and fellows is an invaluable part of Northwell Health. Our industry experts pass on unmatched expertise in each of the 180 programs across 15 hospitals. We show participants how to practice award-winning medicine and challenge them to be the most innovative, compassionate caregivers possible. Our efforts are transforming medicine and training the next generation of professionals. By educating our trainees, we demonstrate our commitment to the doctors of tomorrow.
Tuition Reimbursement
Eligible employees will receive 100% employer-paid tuition expenses towards a master’s degree from Hofstra University. Those attending another university will receive $5,000 annually in reimbursement toward qualified tuition expenses. Northwell Health is a nonprofit, making us a qualifier for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program (PSLF) under federal student aid. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your direct loans after you have made monthly payments for a period of time.
