Job Description
The Project Manager role will support the Western Region with critical leadership support, blending high-level strategic project management with comprehensive executive support. This individual will serve as a trusted advisor, driving the region’s strategic agenda, overseeing key initiatives across hospital and ambulatory settings, and ensuring seamless communication and execution of priorities. This role requires a highly organized, proactive, and analytical professional with a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, exceptional project management acumen, and proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex environment. The role will also manage internal and external communications on behalf of the regional executive team, drafting correspondence, presentations, and reports. Serves as a primary point of contact for senior leaders, key stakeholders, and external partners.
Hybrid role 2x per week in Danbury, CT; 1x per week in New Hyde Park, NY
Job Responsibility
- Facilitate the development, refinement, and communication of the region’s strategic priorities and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and market needs.
- Lead and manage complex strategic projects from initiation to completion, encompassing new service line development, operational efficiency improvements, patient experience enhancements, market expansion, and integration efforts across hospital and ambulatory locations.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for strategic projects. Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership and other stakeholders, highlighting progress, risks, and recommended adjustments.
- Serve as a trusted strategic advisor to the Executive Office, providing objective insights and helping to shape critical decisions.
- Act as a central filter and synthesizer of information for the regional team, prioritizing key issues, preparing executive briefings, and ensuring the team’s time is focused on the most critical matters.
- Plans, manages, and coordinates projects and ensures project initiatives and timelines are met. Develops project initiation process by defining project scope, determining action items, assigning ownership, creating project timetables, and tracking execution and workflow; prepares, presents and distributes project status reports.
- Evaluates, plans, and monitors project implementation for clinical systems; manages project and project delivery teams, ensures deadlines are met, escalates issues for appropriate, timely resolution and adheres to standardized project management methodologies.
- Develops interdisciplinary project teams in coordination with clinical community to ensure deployment of systems; serves as liaison to project sponsors, project teams and stakeholders; works with internal, external groups to optimize success of project deployment.
- Communicates with user departments and project teams on project activities; confers with project staff and vendors to provide support and resolve problems; collaborates with clinical, financial and quality teams to define and develop metric goals. Partners with management to develop tools and metrics to evaluate performance of target initiatives; assists with planning monitoring criteria and methodology.
- Ensures availability of performance measurement data for review and analysis; evaluates and drives risk management process improvements, efficiencies and workflow enhancements.
- Partners with management, identifies end user education, training program and services; assists in the development and maintains department policies and procedures.
- Provides subject matter expert support in the development of clinical information systems and integration to improve the timely completion of projects.
- Operates under general guidance and work assignments are varied and require interpretation and independent decisions on course of action.

Job Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MPH).
- PMP (Project Management Professional) or PgMP (Program Management Professional) certification.
- At least 3-5 years of experience directly within the healthcare industry, with exposure to both hospital and ambulatory operations.
- Strong understanding of healthcare delivery models, regulatory environments, financial structures, and market dynamics within a multi-site system.
- Highly analytical with the ability to synthesize data, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions.

The salary range for this position is $70470.00-$116870.00/year.
