Location: Danbury, CT
Schedule: Monday-Friday variable shifts from 7:45am- 5:30pm
Provides clerical and administrative support and coordinates the patient care activities for medical practice.
Responsibilities:
- Greets and welcomes patients upon arrival and communicates pleasantly and effectively.
- Ensures accuracy of patient’s information, including demographics and insurance.
- Answers phones, routes call, takes messages, and assures accurate communication � both verbally and via the EMR system
- Registers, verifies, and schedules patient appointments, testing, and referrals.
- Schedules and reschedules appointments according to office protocols
- Monitor applications and manage worklists as applicable. 7. Collects co-pays and reconciles money for deposit.
- Obtains and coordinates record retrieval for new and established patients.
- Performs intake and processing of medical records and other documentation where applicable.
- Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
- Maintains and Models the Organization�s values.
- Demonstrates regular, dependable, and predictable attendance.
- Performs other duties as required.
Education:
- High School Diploma/EQUIVALENT
Working Conditions:
- Ability to travel between practices as needed.
- Manual: Some manual skills/motor coordination & finger dexterity
- Occupational: Little or no potential for occupational risk
- Physical Effort: Medium to Heavy effort. May exert up to 35 lbs. force
- Physical Environment: Generally pleasant working conditions
