Job Description
Supports team with room preparation, scope processing, equipment maintenance and sterilization of medical equipment used during diagnostic procedures.
Job Responsibility
- Helps in preparing and testing diagnostic and therapeutic equipment prior to medical procedures; sets-up medical equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, under supervision.
- Prepares travel carts for bedside procedures, transports cart and supplies to designated unit; assists in room preparation, turnover, and maintains department supplies; prepares room per scheduled procedure, ensures equipment and supplies are in working order.
- Maintains par levels of supplies throughout the unit; maintains and replaces Oxygen cylinders; processes medical equipment; follows cleaning and transportation policies.
- Processes medical equipment; follows cleaning and transportation policies; pre-cleans dirty scopes and removes from procedure room in closed biohazard container and transports scope to the decontamination room; cleans and disinfects scopes and ancillary equipment.
- Documents processing activities into appropriate log; changes filters and disinfectants per schedule; maintains processing machines with scheduled filter changes; tests, documents and tracks department equipment including; processing machines, scopes, refrigerators and eye wash stations.
- Tests, documents and tracks department equipment including; processing machines, scopes, refrigerators and eye wash stations.
- Changes filters and disinfectant on processing equipment, as scheduled.
- Performs and documents critical alarm checks on the refrigerators and the eye wash station; documents, tags, and packages damaged scopes for repair.
- Identifies damage to scopes and contacts approved vendor for repair.

Job Qualification
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 0-1 years of relevant experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $25.29-$28.43/hour
