Job Description
Provides services to identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain which arise from sports related activities. Guides staff and administratively supports management. Renders of emergency care, develops injury prevention programs and provides appropriate preventive and supportive devices for the physically active person.
Job Responsibility
1.Provides athletic training services for all designated athletic events as needed.
2.Maintains medical kits, AED’s and any other related equipment.
3.Maintains appropriate treatment orders, emergency action plans, and policy and procedure manual to be reviewed annually.
4.Participates in interview process, training and mentoring of newly hired certified athletic trainers.
5.Serves in a leadership capacity for the STARS Sports Medicine Committee.
6.Develops certified athletic trainer (AT) clinical competencies; serves as a clinical instructor for student AT’s.
7.Works with Physicians on development of clinical content for programing, marketing materials, and home exercise programs to be used in practices.
8.Assists in development and scheduling of ATC Lecture Series.
9.Develops and implements injury prevention and fitness programs; participates in community outreach, as required.

Job Qualification
1.Bachelor’s Degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
2.Current License to practice as an Athletic Trainer in New York State and Certified by National Board of Certification, required plus specialized certifications as needed.
3.3-5 years of related experience, required.

The salary range for this position is $58,539.98-$92,649.96/year
