Provide comprehensive genetic counseling services to individuals and families with a focus on pediatric general genetics, but with opportunity for other areas of interest including metabolic genetics, cardiogenomics, cancer genetics, and prenatal genetics.
Responsibilities include:
* Obtaining and interpreting detailed family and medical histories.
* Assessing and communicating risks for genetic conditions.
* Ordering and interpreting genetic tests.
* Providing psychosocial support and counseling to patients and families.
* Educating patients and healthcare providers about genetic conditions, testing options, and management strategies.
* Participating in multidisciplinary clinics and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of genetic counseling programs and protocols.
* Staying up-to-date on the latest advancements in genetic testing and research.
*Acts as preceptor to the graduate students interning in the Medical Genetics Program.

Job Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Human Genetics or Genetic Counseling required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience, preferred.
The salary range for this position is $75,020-$126,250/year
